Welcome to the SAN FRANCISCO 49ers EXTRA podcast on TheSportsVirus.com!

Every Tuesday we chat with Former 49ers QB Steve Bono. Today we discuss the Niners 37-18 loss in Seattle. Hear what Steve says about whether or not the 49ers should make a QB switch.

Bono spent 14 seasons in the NFL. He had a 5-1 record in his 6 Niners starts and finished his career 28-14 overall.

The Sports Virus talked to Bono about Blaine Gabbert’s play in Seattle and his future:

“…it didn’t seem like he was seeing the field well…is he the best in the league? No, but he’s a good dude and you want to see him succeed. He reminds me a lot of Alex (Smith) when he was younger.”

Bono told The Sports Virus  why he doesn’t think it’s a good idea to switch quarterbacks right now:

“…I personally don’t think Kaep is into it mentally. Honestly, I don’t think he wants to play. I hope that’s not the case, but that’s the impression I get.”
