Welcome to the SAN FRANCISCO 49ers EXTRA podcast on TheSportsVirus.com!
Today we have a special on-site podcast with 49ers starting safety Eric Reid at The Brixton Restaurant in San Francisco. We discuss the Niners loss in Arizona, the upcoming game against the Patriots and Eric’s decision to kneel with Colin Kaepernick during the national anthem throughout the season.
Reid is in his 4th season in the NFL after being drafted in the first round of the 2013 draft by San Francisco out of LSU. He was elected to play in the 2014 Pro Bowl.

Reid talked to The Sports Virus about the Niners defensive woes this season:
“…It’s been on us as players not executing the calls which has led to the big plays and the yards. It has nothing to do with the scheme. I personally love the scheme. We just have breakdowns every now and then which leads to those big plays. I think we showed on Sunday that if we execute the play that’s called then we can minimize the big plays and we put ourselves in a better position to win games.”
