Long-time San Francisco columnist Scott Ostler helps us review the Rams win over the Bengals in the Super Bowl. We also go in-depth to discuss the 49ers’ QB situation and the Warriors season. When it comes to baseball, Scott explains why he likes the DH coming to the National League and why he voted for Barry Bonds to be a Hall of Famer.
TNT’s Jared Greenberg is one of network sports television’s top reporters and he joins TheSportsVirus podcast to talk about the state of the Warriors after he covered their win over Dallas on Tuesday. He also addresses NBA trade rumors and gets into a little MVP conversation. Greenberg tells us why the Warriors are fun to watch and will still be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time, despite their recent struggles and the absence of Draymond Green. He gives his analysis of what’s going on with the Splash Brothers and remarks on other key players on the roster. With the trade deadline approaching, Greenberg sizes up a few rumors and talks about his early MVP front runners. He also tells us how he made it to network television (he first started with NBA-TV over 15 years ago) from humble beginnings that included a stint with an independent minor league baseball team.
Kate Rooney is a sports anchor and reporter for KRON-TV in San Francisco covering all of the Bay Area teams. She joins us to discuss the 49ers and Warriors and talk about her career.

With James Wiseman (wrist) and Kevon Looney (ankle) still out and Draymond Green sitting with a sore ankle the Warriors still pulled off a stunning comeback from down 19 points to beat Miami in overtime on Wednesday night. Ray and Joe discuss how Kent Bazemore (26 points) led the attack and Steph Curry came up with key three-pointers after a miserable first three quarters of shooting. Green’s Monday comments about treatment of NBA players are also topic of conversation.

The Warriors sunk to a new low in their 142-94 loss in Dallas. Luka Doncic destroyed the Dubs with 35 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in just 25 minutes. Golden State head coach Steve Kerr said his team will flush this game and forget about it. We will as well, but first we examine a week that saw the end of a 7-game losing streak followed by the worst loss since 1973.
