The Panda talked about his relief appearance on Saturday against the Dodgers: “I didn’t even know I had that curveball…I was excited because I see all my teammates in the dugout watching and laughing, it loosened them a little bit…we get in the clubhouse having fun talking about it.”

Just another ho hum Giants/Dodgers game Friday night in San Francisco. Well, actually it was another back and forth thriller with the Giants coming away 6-4 winners in game 1 of the 4 game series. The Warriors took down the San Antonio Spurs in 5 games. Now it’s time to look ahead to the Western Conference semifinal series with the New Orleans Pelicans, who surprisingly swept the Portland Trailblazers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Ray and Joe dissect the two teams before they get together for game 1 on Saturday night in Oakland.

The last time the Nationals visited San Francisco, a brawl broke out after Hunter Strickland drilled Bryce Harper with a pitch. The Sports Virus asked Strickland on Wednesday if he wished he faced Harper in this series: “I’ve gotta get them out no matter who I face…This is a new year. You learn from the past and you move forward.”
The Warriors are up three games to nothing in their first round playoff series with the Spurs after a big win on Thursday in San Antonio. Ray and Joe discuss the game and the series.
