Mark Purdy recently retired after 33 years at the San Jose Mercury News. Today he joins us to talk about the Giants present and future.

Purdy debated withThe Sports Virus about whether or not Pablo Sandoval has a future in San Francisco: “…Pablo isn’t perfect, but what’s the alternative? If they can find a better alternative, they’ll go with that. If Pablo works hard in the off-season and then shows that he can sustain this and he’s gonna be a really cheap guy because they’ve got a lot of money in at a lot of other positions, then you’ve got to at least consider it.”
