Warriors TV announcer Bob Fitzgerald compared playing the Jazz to going to the dentist and Golden State did not have a pleasant appointment with Utah as the Jazz performed a 3-point root canal on Wednesday night with 16 baskets beyond the arc. Coincidentally, Ray did this podcast right after he left the dentist’s chair, but he was in better spirits than Steve Kerr, who wants his team to brush up on its ball movement skills.

Every Tuesday during the NFL season we chat with former 49ers QB Steve Bono. Today we talk about the 49ers second win in a row, an overtime victory over the Seahawks, a team that San Francisco had not beaten in it’s last 10 tries.
Bono assessed the play of QB Nick Mullens: “…He sees things well, he moves the ball around well, distributing it to different receivers. The ball is delivered on time, it’s a catchable ball, it’s accurate. He’s playing really well…He’s earned the right to be there and I think the guys have responded to him.”
The Raptors had lost to the Warriors the last 13 times they visited Oakland, but Wednesday was a different story at Oracle Arena. Even though they played without injured Kawhi Leonard, Toronto blew out the Dubs and swept the season series, showing why they are the best team in the NBA right now.
Ray and Joe were in attendance at Oracle and they go quarter-by-quarter with their analysis.

Every Tuesday during the NFL season we chat with former 49ers QB Steve Bono. Today we get talk about the 49ers win over the Broncos which included an incredible first half performance by TE George Kittle.
Bono compared Kittle to great 49ers tight ends in team history: “…Vernon (Davis) became a good receiving tight end. Tremendous speed. I think (Kittle) is a better route runner, a better pass catcher…Brent (Jones) was a terrific athlete who ran well in a very awkward style, so you didn’t know which way he was going. His arms were going one way, his feet were going another way, but he was extremely effective, he knew how to run routes and he was a great pass catcher. If that ball was anywhere close he was going to get it.”
Steph Curry is back in the lineup and he dropped 42 points on the Cavs in the Warriors win in Cleveland on Wednesday. He talks about how he is making progress in his return.
Our special guest is Tim Kawakami from the Athletic. He tells us why the online sportswriting site is successful and we chat about the Warriors season: “This is not going to be a smooth sailing season,” says Kawakami. “There are still going to be some episodes. I’m convinced of it. They didn’t ruin the NBA, because this is tough. This is a long season. You suffer through some things, you fight through them and as Steve Kerr always says, that’s the reason why you go crazy when you win a championship, why you spray each other with champagne. Not because it’s easy, because it’s hard.”
