Steve Kerr said that the Dubs were “outplayed” and that Golden State “stole” one after his team came back from a 17-point deficit for the win. The Warriors don’t seem to miss Kevin Durant so far, but do they need him going forward? We tackle that question and talk about the Steph Curry/Seth Curry matchup.
The Warriors took out the Rockets in 6 games and now it’s on to the Western Conference Finals. With Kevin Durant healing from a calf injury, the Splash Brothers combined for 60 points. Steph Curry was held scoreless in the first half, but scored 33 points in the second half to lead the Dubs. Klay Thompson chipped in with 27 points and the bench made a major impact for the first time in the playoffs. Joe and Ray discuss game 6 and get you ready for the next series against either Portland or Denver.

After the Giants split in Cincinnati saw SF starting pitchers get shelled, we bring in former Giants starter Bill Laskey to try and make sense of what transpired at Great American Ballpark. The KNBR host and NBC Sports Bay Area/Sacramento RIver Cats analyst also gives us the scoop on Mac Williamson, who just got called up to the Giants for the Rockies series starting Tuesday night.
The Warriors missed a bunch of layups and lacked a sense of urgency as the Rockets evened up the series at two games apiece. Golden State is lamenting the fact that they got outshot from the 3-point line and lost the offensive rebounding battle in two close games in Houston. Game 4 featured another great performance by James Harden with PJ Tucker making his presence felt in many ways.

As the Giants reached May with a 12-18 record, we went into the clubhouse at Oracle Park to get the mood of Joe Panik, Tony Watson and Tyler Austin. Panik has made some adjustments and appears to be coming out of his early season slump. Watson is part of a tight knit bullpen. And, Austin is dealing with the challenges of learning how to play the outfield and fit in with a new team.
In game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals both the Rockets and Warriors saw top players go out with injuries and return. James Harden battled back after getting hit in the eyes. Steph Curry played after dislocating a finger on his left hand. In the end, Golden State won another close game at home to go up 2-0 in the series which is headed back to Houston on Saturday for game 3. Ray and Joe dissect game 2 and the series so far.
