Welcome to the SAN FRANCISCO 49ers EXTRA podcast on TheSportsVirus.com!

Every Tuesday during the NFL season we chat with Former 49ers QB Steve Bono. Today we talk about the 49ers loss in Washington that dropped San Francisco’s record to 0-6.

Bono spent 14 seasons in the NFL. He had a 5-1 record in his 6 Niners starts and finished his career 28-14 overall.

Bono talked to The Sports Virus about the performance of rookie QB CJ Beathard, who made his debut in D.C.: “I think guys all of a sudden went ok, we’ve got a new quarterback in, he’s never played, we have to do our jobs better and I think that everybody did…He made some mistakes, but that’s gonna happen. They’re willing to live with that now is my guess. I don’t think Brian Hoyer will see the field again unless Beathard gets hurt. You’re playing for the future now.”
