Welcome to the SAN FRANCISCO 49ers EXTRA podcast on TheSportsVirus.com!

Every Tuesday during the NFL season we chat with Former 49ers QB Steve Bono. Today we talk about the 49ers first win of the season against the New York Giants and look ahead to which SF QB will be under center when the season resumes during week 12 against the Seahawks following a bye.

Bono spent 14 seasons in the NFL. He had a 5-1 record in his 6 Niners starts and finished his career 28-14 overall.

Bono talked to The Sports Virus about who deserves to be the 49ers starting QB against the Seahawks: “It’s going to be hard for them to sit (C.J. Beathard) down in two weeks. He’s earned it. I’m sure there will be a lot of time spent by Kyle (Shanahan), sleepless nights, trying to figure out is (Jimmy) Garoppolo ready? If there’s any doubt, if I were Shanahan then I would be playing C.J., because he’s earned the right to continue being the starter.”
