The relationship between the media and athletes, managers and coaches ranges from cordial to adversarial.Whether it’s a coach reaching a boiling point after hearing the same question over and over (see 49ers Head Coach Mike Singletary), or a female reporter being mistreated (see Ines Sainz) as we saw recently in San Francisco and New York, there is scrutinized behavior on both sides. Are we more interested in hearing a story quickly than we are in waiting for all the facts to come in? Does sex appeal trump journalism?
