Angel Pagan joins the Giants following an off-season trade with the Mets. He hit .262, with 7 homers, 56 RBIs and 32 stolen bases for New York last season. In 2010 he hit .290 with 37 steals, 2nd in the National League. Pagan was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He joined us during Spring Training in Scottsdale, AZ.

Brandon Belt is off to a hot start at the plate this spring for the Giants following a challenging rookie season. Although he batted just .225 in the major leagues, Belt continued to tear up AAA pitching. In Fresno he hit . 309 with 8 homers in just 165 at bats. That gave him 17 total combined homers on the 2011 season. In his two years in the minors he has put up a .343 career batting average. He joined us after a Spring Training game in Scottsdale, AZ which included going 2 for 2 with a double and home run.

Duane Kuiper is entering his 19th consecutive year in the Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, NBC Bay Area and KNBR Radio broadcast booths as a Giants broadcaster in 2012. This is his 40th Spring Training in Arizona as a player and broadcaster. He joined us at Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale, AZ.

Jeremy Affeldt is entering his 4th season in San Francisco and 11th season overall in the major leagues. In 2011 he posted a 2.63 ERA in 67 appearances, including 3 saves. Left handed batters hit only .144 off of Affeldt last year. Off the field, Jeremy and his wife Larisa are avid supporters of “Not For Sale,” a San Francisco based group that fights human trafficking. Affeldt joined us during Spring Training in Scottsdale, AZ.

Javier Lopez is entering his 3rd season in San Francisco and 10th season overall in themajor leagues. In 2011 he posted a 2.72 ERA in 70 appearances, including 1 save. Left handed batters hit only .163 off of Lopez last year. He has 2 World Series rings (2007 Red Sox, 2010 Giants). Lopez  joined us during Spring Training in Scottsdale, AZ.

Emmanuel Burriss has played parts of the last 4 seasons in San Francisco. In 2011 he hit just .204, but he swiped 11 bases in just 59 games. At AAA Fresno he hit .297 with 24 steals. Burriss  joined us during Spring Training in Scottsdale, AZ.

Tommy Joseph put up a big season at Class A San Jose in 2011, hitting .270 with 22homers and 95 RBIs. He isplaying in major league spring training games and preparing for a probable assignment at AA Richmond.

Aubrey Huff is entering his 3rd season with the Giants after spending most of his 12-year career in the American League. In 2010 he hit .290 with 26 homers and 86 RBI on the way to playing in his 1st post season. He finished 7th in the National League MVP voting. Aubrey has 241 career home runs including hitting for the cycle (2009), an inside-the-park home run (2010) and a 3-homer game (2011). Huff joined us during Fan Fest weekend in San Francisco.

Brett Pill had a 15-game stint with the Giants last year after tearing up the Pacific Coast League with the Fresno Grizzlies the last two seasons. In his first Major League at bat he homered off Wade LeBlanc of the San Diego Padres. For good measure he homered the next day in San Diego. With San Francisco he finished with a .300 batting average. He’s trying to make the big league team for 2012. Doug Greenwald is entering his 10th season as the Voice of the Grizzlies. He is currently calling Giants spring training games on SFGiants.com.
